We are glad you are considering worshipping with us. Here is what to expect, so that nothing is a surprise when you arrive.
When we meet
Sunday worship begins at 10:30 am. We are usually finished by about noon. On the first and third Sundays of each month, a fellowship lunch follows the service, and you are welcome at the table.
Wednesday evenings we share a fellowship supper at 6:30 pm, followed by Bible study, prayer, and hymns.
Where to find us
1707 E. Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD 21015
Get directions
There is free parking on site. Come in through the front door, and someone will be there to greet you.
What to wear
Come as you are. You will see a range of dress in the congregation, from suits to plain everyday clothes. No one will look twice.
What the service is like
Our worship is simple, following the pattern of the first century church. We sing hymns a cappella, without instruments, just voices together. There is prayer, and there is preaching from the King James Bible. That is the whole of it.
If you have never heard a room full of people sing without instruments, it is worth hearing once.
Children
Children stay with their families in the service. We do not separate the congregation by age, and no one minds the sounds that children make.
What is expected of you
Nothing. You will not be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, sign anything, or give anything. Sit, listen, and sing if you would like to.
Questions about what we believe?
We hold historic Primitive Baptist convictions, and we are glad to be asked about them. You can read our Articles of Faith or our Primitive Baptist FAQ, or simply call or write and ask.
